Imperial Palace Tokyo, East Garden

皇居 Koukyou the imperial palace

My first visit in Tokyo was in the imperial palace park on August, the 29th.

Tokyo Imperial Palace ( Kōkyo; literally, “Imperial Residence”) is the main residence of the Emperor of Japan. It is a large park-like area located in the Chiyoda area of Tokyo close to Tokyo Station.

The pictures were taken in the area called Higashi-Gyouen. It is the only corner open to the public. The numerous meadows and ponds invite the visitor for a pleasant retreat from the bustle of the town.Bild
